Sharlyne Sokol

It is with great sadness that we inform you that Sharlyne Sokol, a beloved member of the Royal Resorts family passed away recently after a long illness.

Originally from Akron, Ohio, Sharlyne came to Cancun in 1984 as the manager of a US-based travel company. She joined Royal Resorts in 1985 as the youngest person in the Marketing department. She worked in the Sales & Marketing department for many years and then in the Reservations Call Center.

Kind hearted, generous and funny, Sharlyne touched the hearts of all who knew her. Many long-time members bought their weeks from her and kept in touch over the years, reaching out to her before every vacation to tap her local knowledge and then dropping by to see her during their stay. She was always ready to help and had a smile for everyone. Sharlyne will be greatly missed by all her Royal Resorts friends.
