Running for a Cause: First Royal Resorts Foundation Race for Dani
Four hundred Royal Resorts members, staff and local athletes turned out the morning of February 21 to compete in the First Royal Resorts Foundation Race for charity. They ran to help Dani, a courageous little boy from the village of Leona Vicario who has brittle bone disease (Osteogenesis Imperfecta).
The Royal Resorts Foundation teamed up with Cancun-based NGO Érase Una Vez Un Hogar, A.C., to help five-year-old Dani, whose bones are so brittle that he has already suffered 14 crippling fractures in his short life. The goal is to raise money to build a home for Dani that will be a safe and happy environment for him to grow up in, and to help provide the bone mass studies and medical treatment he needs. The race was organized to raise money for this worthy cause.
Congratulations to every one who took part in this fun sporting event. We will be publishing the list of winners in the 3,5 and 10-kilometer races in all the categories, photos and a video in the days to come.
