More Accessibility, More Fun with new Amphibian Beach Chairs

We want all our members and guests to enjoy the beach and pools at Royal Resorts. Following the pool lifts installed in 2015 at the resorts in Cancun, we have added Oceanic Sun and Oceanic Walker water accessible wheelchairs and reclining sunbeds for the pool at all the resorts for visitors with limited mobility. They are available on request from the lifeguard and security guards on the beach.
The Royal Market also offers a rental service for Amigo Mobility scooters and standard wheelchairs may be requested at the Front Desk (subject to availability).

New this season at The Royal Haciendas, tennis clinics with the Pro so that you can fine-tune your serve and improve your shot making. Ask at the Activities Center or Sports Desk for more information on days and times of the clinics or book a private class with the Pro.

If you are Cancun bound and would like to play tennis during your vacation, you can book courts, sign out rackets and hook up with fellow players at the Sports Desk. You can also arrange private classes or matches with the tennis Pro. Clinics are offered for two or more players and there are several weekly tournaments to compete in. The current schedule is as follows:

No more Bikes on Playa’s Fifth Avenue

If you like to use one of the bicycles at The Royal Haciendas during your vacation, please take note of the following information. Due to changes in the municipal transport laws in Playa del Carmen, Fifth Avenue is now a pedestrian thoroughfare in its entirety. Vehicles, including bicycles, are no longer permitted. The law states that cyclists are subject to fines for riding along the avenue or parking or chaining their bike to lamp posts and sidewalk curbs.
Where bike paths or ciclopistas exist in the urban area cyclists are obliged to use them.
Ask for information on routes and bike paths when you sign out your bicycle from the Sports Desk at The Royal Haciendas.

Before consulting the Advisory Council reports, we recommend that you read the Introduction for an overview of the topics discussed at the Advisory Council General Meeting and information on the economic factors that are taken into account when preparing the resort budgets.

The reports for The Royal Caribbean, The Royal Islander, The Royal Sands and The Royal Haciendas list the improvements completed at the resorts during 2015 and the projects approved for 2016.
